How to Use KannadaFont.com
Complete guide to using our Kannada font generator, downloading fonts,
and creating beautiful Kannada typography.
Using the Kannada Font Style Generator
Our font generator lets you preview your text in 135+ Kannada fonts
instantly. Follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Enter Your Text
In the text box at the top of the homepage, you can enter your text
in two ways:
-
Type in English: Type phonetically (e.g.,
"namaskara", "bengaluru", "kannada") and watch it automatically
convert to Kannada script (เฒจเฒฎเฒธเณเฒเฒพเฒฐ, เฒฌเณเฒเฒเฒณเณเฒฐเณ, เฒเฒจเณเฒจเฒก). Press
spacebar after each word to convert.
-
Paste Kannada text: If you already have Kannada
Unicode text, simply paste it directly into the text box.
The text box supports multiple lines, so you can enter paragraphs or
longer content.
Step 2: Customize Your Design
Use the control panel below the text box to customize appearance:
-
Font Size: Drag the slider to adjust size from
24px to 80px. Use larger sizes for headlines and posters, smaller
sizes for detailed text.
-
Text Color: Click the color picker to choose from
millions of colors. Consider contrast with your background for
readability.
-
Background Color: Select a background color that
complements your design. White backgrounds work best for printing.
All changes update instantly across all font previews, so you can
see results in real-time.
Step 3: Browse Font Previews
Scroll down to see your text displayed in multiple Kannada font
styles:
-
Each font card shows your custom text with the font name clearly
labeled
-
All 135+ fonts are displayed with your chosen colors and size
-
Use pagination buttons at the bottom to browse through different
pages
- Take note of fonts you like for future projects
Step 4: Download Your Design
Each font preview has download buttons with different options:
-
Download PNG: Saves your text as an image with
background color included. Perfect for social media posts,
presentations, and quick designs.
-
Download Transparent: Saves as PNG without
background. Ideal for layering on photos, videos, or other designs
in apps like Alight Motion or PixelLab.
-
Download TTF: Downloads the actual font file that
you can install on your computer and use in any design software.
Pro Tip: Save screenshots of color combinations you
like, or note down the hex color codes for consistency across multiple
designs.

Best Practices & Tips
Design Tips
-
Contrast is key: Ensure good contrast between text
and background (minimum 4.5:1 ratio for readability)
-
Size matters: Use larger font sizes for headlines
(60px+), medium for subheadings (40-50px), smaller for body text
(24-36px)
-
Pair wisely: When combining Kannada with English,
choose fonts that complement each other in style and weight
-
Test everywhere: Preview your designs on different
devices before finalizing
-
Keep it readable: Decorative fonts are great for
headlines but use simpler fonts for longer text
Technical Tips
-
Use Unicode for digital: Always use Unicode fonts
for websites, apps, and social media
-
Use Nudi for print: Only use Nudi fonts if
specifically required by your printing workflow
-
Export high-res: For print projects, export images
at 300 DPI or higher
-
Test rendering: Check how fonts look on both
Windows and Mac if cross-platform compatibility matters
-
Keep backups: Save font files and color codes for
future projects
Common Mistakes to Avoid
- Using Nudi fonts on websites (they won't display correctly)
- Forgetting to restart applications after font installation
- Using decorative fonts for long paragraphs (hard to read)
- Poor color contrast making text illegible
- Not checking font licenses before commercial use
